This Betshezi review starts with a welcome package that is mostly not for sport. The “up to R10,000” headline is four slot and Aviator deposit matches, each with 20x turnover inside 3 days and a payout capped at the bonus; sports punters get one R50 bonus bet after FICA. Behind it sit a large sportsbook, plenty of local payment methods and a Western Cape licence issued in August 2026.
Withdrawals are the weak spot. Betshezi allows up to 72 hours for review plus up to two business days to reflect, slower than the 24 hours most rivals quote, and Instant Money or eWallet payouts stop at R5,000 a day. There are no withdrawal fees, though.

Yes, Betshezi South Africa is licensed. The footer and help pages name the operator as SMP Gaming (Pty) Ltd (2021/964248/07), licensed by the Western Cape Gambling and Racing Board under bookmaker licence 10191121-005, and the company is on the board’s list of licensed bookmakers.
The licence is new: the footer says it was issued in August 2026, although the brand has been active on social media since July 2024. That is not a warning sign by itself, but there is little history to judge the operator on.
The footer also names a sister company, SMP Gaming Eastern Cape (Pty) Ltd, with an Eastern Cape Gambling Board licence numbered ECBM 033. That licence is not on the ECGB’s published bookmaker list, so rely on the Western Cape licence.
The group lists offices in Cape Town (V&A Waterfront), Mthatha, Durban and Lusaka, and the site runs on the BetConstruct platform. Bet only at betshezi.com: similar-looking domains and apps are not the bookmaker.
What to do if you have a dispute with Betshezi
Start with live chat or email support@betshezi.com, giving your username, the bet or transaction reference and the amount, and keep screenshots. With a withdrawal problem, first check for unused bonus money, which Betshezi says can cancel a request.

What you won’t find
There is no sports deposit match. Apart from the R50 bonus bet, every part of the welcome package goes to slots and Aviator.
Betshezi maximum payouts
Betshezi sets daily win limits by product. The sportsbook limit of R200,000 a day beats the R10,000 to R50,000 single-bet caps at a few rivals but sits well below the multi-million limits others publish.

Worked example: you win R120,000 on a weekend multi and R110,000 on a second bet the same day. That is R230,000, but the sportsbook limit is R200,000 a day, so R30,000 is over the cap.

There is little to go on, and it is negative. Betshezi has no HelloPeter profile. On Trustpilot it has a TrustScore of 2.3 from seven reviews, every one of them one star, and the profile is unclaimed with no company replies.
Four of the seven describe slow or stuck withdrawals, including a R700 payout still unpaid days later. Two say bonus winnings were capped or forfeited, which fits the rule that a bonus pays out no more than its own value.
