Our verdict on Bravobet: built for accumulator punters, still unproven
Bravobet is a Cape Town bookmaker licensed by the Western Cape Gambling and Racing Board in November 2025, one of the newest names on the South African market. Almost everything about it leans towards multiples: the welcome offer pays free bets only on a 4-leg accumulator, several promotions are built around losing multiples, and every accumulator size shares a R250,000 payout cap. The weak spot is track record, because the brand is young and its few public reviews are all negative.
The Sports Welcome Package is not a deposit match. You deposit R100, place a R100 multiple with four or more selections at 1.40 or higher each, and get a free bet worth 50% of your stake (up to R1,000), then a 100% free bet (up to R500) on a second qualifying bet. No wagering is stated on the free bets, which is easier than YesPlay’s 7x or Bettabets’ 8x, but the R100 entry is higher than the R10 to R50 most rivals ask.
Limits are high for a newcomer: R250,000 on multiples, at least R100,000 on singles and R500,000 a day, against Bettabets’ R50,000 single-bet cap. Support runs 24/7 by phone, email and live chat. The caution is reputation: four HelloPeter reviews in the last 12 months, all at 1 star and none answered. Too few to judge on, but not reassuring.

Bravobet is the trading name of AJ Tattersalls (Pty) Ltd, registration number 2023/132006/07, licensed by the Western Cape Gambling and Racing Board under licence 10010857-030, issued in November 2025. The company appears under bookmaker licence holders on the board’s own register. Its office is at Sovereign Quay in Green Point, and the site runs on the BetConstruct platform.
The footer copyright reads 2021 to 2026, although the company was registered in 2023, so treat the 2025 licence as the real start. Bravobet does not appear on the National Gambling Board’s verified operators list, but the Western Cape register, the primary record, does list it. The site does not name the owners behind the company.
Unrelated “Bravo Bet” brands operate in Ethiopia and Brazil, so check you are on bravobet.co.za before you register.

Bravobet maximum payouts and stakes
Every multiple, from a double to an 8-fold or more, shares a R250,000 cap. Scorebet, by contrast, starts at R10,000 for singles and only reaches R250,000 on bigger accumulators.

The limits page contradicts itself on singles: the opening line says R250,000 per single or multiple, the table says R100,000 for singles. Plan around R100,000 and confirm with support before a big single.
Worked example: R500 on a 5-fold at combined odds of 600.00 returns R300,000, or R299,500 net. Bravobet pays at most R250,000 net, so R49,500 is lost.
Bravobet welcome bonus and promotions
The Bravobet welcome bonus for sports pays free bets, not matched cash, and only rewards accumulators. There is no stated wagering, but the free bet stake is not returned with winnings. Compare it on our betting bonuses page.
Sports Welcome Package: two free bets
Verify your account, deposit R100 or more and place a multiple of R100 or more with at least four selections at 1.40 or higher each. Once it settles, win or lose, you get a free bet of 50% of your stake (minimum R50, maximum R1,000). Make a second deposit within five days and repeat for a 100% free bet (minimum R100, maximum R500).
In rands: a R400 qualifying 4-fold earns a R200 free bet, and you need a R2,000 stake to reach R1,000. The second bet tops out at a R500 stake. Free bets work on any sport, live or pre-match, with no market or odds limits, but expire after 3 days and pay out at most R5,000. A separate FAQ caps withdrawals of winnings from bonus-converted cash at R1,000, so ask support which limit applies. The upside beats the R500 winnings cap on the GBets free bet, but so does the entry cost.
Casino welcome bonus
A deposit match on your first three deposits (from R20 each), claimed under Bonuses before depositing. Deposit plus bonus must be wagered 25 times within 10 days on listed games such as Aviator and Sweet Bonanza 1000, with a R100 maximum bet and a payout cap of 5 times deposit plus bonus per stage. The size is unclear. The page title says “up to R15000” and the claim guide says R5,000 per deposit, but clause 2.2 says R5,000 in total across all three. Rely on the R5,000 total unless support confirms otherwise.
