Our verdict on 10Bet: a big local profile, with bonus terms worth reading twice
10Bet is an international betting brand that dates from 2003, arrived in South Africa in November 2022 and has since put its name on Bafana Bafana, Lamontville Golden Arrows and, from July 2026, 10bet Ellis Park. Behind the sponsorships is a well-rounded sportsbook: a Mpumalanga Economic Regulator licence, free withdrawals with instant eWallet and voucher options, 24/7 live chat and one of the strongest HelloPeter records in the market. The weak point is the welcome bonus, where every banner promises 100% up to R5,000 but the only full terms page still describes a R3,000 offer with an 8x rollover at odds of 2.00.
That gap matters more than the headline figure. If the published terms apply to the R5,000 version, you roll over your deposit plus the bonus eight times. A R1,000 deposit with a R1,000 match means R16,000 in qualifying bets within 30 days. Bettabets advertises the same R5,000 ceiling but asks for 8x the bonus plus 1x the deposit, which is R9,000 on the same deposit. The 10Bet offer is mid-sized for the market and heavy in rollover.
The house rules have two points to plan around. Winnings are capped at R500,000 in one day and withdrawals at R10 million in 30 days: the same daily figure as Bravobet, well above the caps at smaller local brands, but far below Betfred’s R15 million or Playbet’s R3 million a day. Accounts also turn dormant after three months without a login, and a balance of R100 or more then attracts a monthly R100 admin fee.
Reputation is where 10Bet stands out most. On HelloPeter it holds a TrustIndex of 8.9/10 and an average of 4.2/5, and it has replied to every negative review. Many South African bookmakers we have reviewed sit below 2 stars with few or no replies. The one soft score is Platform Experience at 2.8/5, which matches the complaints about glitches and stalled transactions.
Soccer and multi bettors who will use the Multi Bet Boost, Bet Builder and weekly cashback; punters who want 24/7 chat and a long list of SA payment methods, from Capitec Pay to bank eWallets and vouchers; and racing fans, since 10Bet carries horse racing where GBets and YesPlay do not.
Android users who only install apps from Google Play, big-stake punters who could win more than R500,000 in a day, and anyone who wants a light-rollover bonus. If you prefer a small no-deposit start, our Betway review covers a free bet pack with no deposit needed.

How we reviewed 10Bet
We rate every bookmaker with the same nine-category model, so 10Bet is judged on the same terms as every other brand we cover. For this 10Bet review we worked from the bookmaker’s own pages and full terms, the gambling board’s licence records, app store listings, customer reviews and news coverage, and we compared what we found with the rest of the South African market. See how we rate bookmakers.
Is 10Bet legit? Licensing and safety
Yes. 10Bet South Africa is run by Edcobrite (Pty) Ltd, which trades as 10bet from a registered address on the 6th floor, 123 Hertzog Boulevard, Foreshore, Cape Town. The site footer states that the company is licensed and regulated by the Mpumalanga Economic Regulator (MER), licence reference number 9-2-1-09661, and the same licence is repeated in the site’s FAQs. That makes it a legal, provincially licensed bookmaker.
The MER is the only licence 10Bet names. Several rivals hold a Western Cape Gambling and Racing Board licence as well, or instead; 10Bet does not. For you as a punter, one provincial licence is enough: it means a regulator oversees the operator and gives you somewhere to escalate a complaint.
The brand itself is older than most local names. 10Bet says it has operated internationally since 2003 and began South African operations in 2022; trade press dates the launch to 7 November 2022, when 10Bet was already running in Tanzania, Kenya, Zambia and Ghana. 10Bet does not name its owners on the SA site: the privacy policy refers only to “the Group”, and press coverage uses “10bet Africa”. Michelle Henriques Colborne has been quoted as Marketing VP for 10bet Africa.
What gives 10Bet its local weight is sponsorship. In July 2023 it signed a four-year deal as official betting partner of SAFA’s Bafana Bafana, and later that month became principal partner and shirt sponsor of Lamontville Golden Arrows on a three-year deal. In July 2026 it signed a five-year naming rights deal for the Lions’ home ground, now 10bet Ellis Park. Its ambassadors include Minnie Dlamini, Doctor Khumalo, Adam Marcus and Butch James. Sponsorship is not a safety guarantee, but brands this visible tend to protect their name, and news coverage shows no South African regulator sanctions against the SA licensee.
On the practical side, 10Bet publishes a privacy policy with a Data Protection Officer contact and Information Regulator details, requires FICA checks before any withdrawal, and is open to over-18s only.
What to do if you have a dispute with 10Bet
10Bet’s terms set out a clear complaints route:
- Write to support@10bet.co.za within 3 months of the issue. Include your username, full name, an explanation of the problem and the relevant dates.
- 10Bet says it acknowledges complaints within 24 hours and aims to resolve them within 10 days, with up to 10 more days for complex cases.
- If you are not satisfied, escalate to the Mpumalanga Economic Regulator through mer.org.za.
Keep screenshots of bet slips, transaction references and chat transcripts from the start. Note that the live chat bot cannot process self-exclusion requests, so put anything important in writing.
Licence and safety is 12% of the overall score. How we rate bookmakers
10Bet sign-up and FICA
Opening an account is quick. 10Bet asks for your name, phone number and South African ID number, and says you can be set up in as little as two minutes. There is no promo code: if you want the welcome bonus, you choose it in the cashier when you make your first deposit.
- Go to 10bet.co.za or open the app and tap “Join now”.
- Enter your name, mobile number and South African ID number.
- Open the cashier, select the 100% Welcome Bonus if you want it, and deposit at least R50 with a non-crypto method.
- Upload your FICA documents before you plan to withdraw.
The 10Bet FICA process follows the usual South African pattern. The terms say your identity and address must be verified before any withdrawal is paid. You upload documents through the three-line menu under “Account Verification”.
- A valid identity document
- Proof of address not older than 6 months
10Bet’s terms also say the first withdrawal, large withdrawals and withdrawals to a new payment method can trigger extra checks, and payment of winnings can be held for investigation for no more than 5 business days if fraud or a rule breach is suspected. Changes to your withdrawal details are only accepted by email to support@10bet.co.za.
Two account rules are worth knowing at sign-up. Each deposit must be wagered at least once before you withdraw it, or the withdrawal may be declined. And the bonus terms allow one promotion per person, family, household address, mobile number, shared device and IP address, so two people in one home cannot both claim the welcome offer.
10Bet sportsbook: strong on soccer, lighter on breadth
10Bet’s sportsbook is built around soccer, rugby and cricket, with promotions tied to each. The sports menu lists 11 sports: soccer, cricket, rugby, tennis, basketball, eSoccer, golf, table tennis, volleyball, American football and horse racing, plus Lucky Numbers, a sports quiz and a jackpot. That is a tidy list rather than a long one; Kingbets lists 40 or more sports.

Sports and leagues
Soccer coverage is the strongest part. 10Bet lists the PSL, MTN8, the Championship, the Premier League, La Liga, Bundesliga and 2. Bundesliga, the Eredivisie, Liga Portugal, the Turkish Super Lig, the EFL Cup, the Champions League and Europa League, the CAF Champions League, and AFCON and World Cup qualifiers. For local fixtures, our PSL betting guide explains the main markets and how they settle.
Horse racing has its own menu item and its own promotions, which sets 10Bet apart from GBets and YesPlay, which have no racing, and Bettabets, which does not list it. Esports betting covers titles such as CS:GO, Overwatch and League of Legends.
Live betting and cash out
Live betting sits in the main navigation, and 10Bet’s live betting page says it offers in-play markets on more than 20 sports, including soccer, tennis, basketball and cricket. That figure is higher than the 11 sports in the menu, and 10Bet does not explain the difference. Early cash out lets you settle a bet before the final whistle. Cashed-out bets do not count towards bonus rollover, which matters if you are working through the welcome offer.
Bet Builder, boosts and insurance
- Bet Builder: same-match multiples on soccer and basketball.
- Boosted Odds: advertised 24/7 on pre-match and live bets.
- Multi Bet Boost: the promotion card says up to 1,000% and up to R600,000 extra on multis, while text elsewhere on the same page says up to 600%. Check the boost shown on your bet slip.
- Multi Bet Insurance: money back if one selection in your multi loses.
What 10Bet does not offer
The sports menu shows the 11 sports listed above, so if you follow a sport outside that list, check the site before you deposit. The Bet Builder is limited to soccer and basketball. The Android app is not on Google Play, and support has no WhatsApp channel.
10Bet maximum payout: R500,000 a day
Most punters will never notice 10Bet’s limits, but multi bettors should. The full terms cap the winnings you can accrue at R500,000 in one day (24 hours), and total withdrawals across all products at R10 million in any 30-day period. That daily figure matches Bravobet and is far more generous than the R50,000 single-bet cap at Bettabets, but Playbet allows R3 million a day and Betfred R15 million.
| Limit | Amount |
|---|---|
| Maximum winnings per day | R500,000 |
| Maximum withdrawals per 30 days | R10,000,000 |
| Multi Bet Boost extra (advertised) | Up to R600,000 |
| Maximum stake while wagering sports bonus funds | R1,000 per bet |
| Largest single withdrawal by method | R1,000,000 (walletdoc EFT or TymeBank) |
Worked example: you place a R1,000 soccer multi at combined odds of 600.00. If it lands, the slip returns R600,000, of which R599,000 is winnings. The terms cap winnings at R500,000 a day, so R99,000 of those winnings sits above the cap. The same applies to any boosted multi: the boost can advertise up to R600,000 extra, but 10Bet does not explain how that fits under the R500,000 daily limit, so ask support before you place a big accumulator.
For ordinary stakes the cap is not a problem. A R50 multi would need odds above 10,000.00 to reach it.
10Bet welcome bonus and promotions
The 10Bet welcome bonus is a mid-sized first-deposit match for South Africa (Bettabets and Tic Tac Bets also go to R5,000, FirstBet to R10,000), and it can be used on Sports, Casino and Live Dealer. The problem is paperwork. The homepage, sports page and promotions card all advertise 100% up to R5,000 from a R50 deposit, but the R5,000 card has no terms link of its own, and the only full terms page still describes a R3,000 version with a R20 minimum deposit; some homepage text also still mentions R3,000. 10Bet does not say which terms govern the R5,000 headline.

100% welcome bonus up to R5,000
Register, select the 100% Welcome Bonus in the cashier, and make your first deposit of R50 or more. 10Bet matches it 100% up to R5,000. Free spins are no longer part of the welcome bonus, and there is no sign-up free bet on the promotions page.
The published welcome terms, written for the R3,000 version, set these rules:
- Rollover on sports: 8x your deposit plus bonus, on singles or multis at total odds of 2.00 or more.
- Rollover on Games and Live Dealer: 40x deposit plus bonus.
- Time limit: 30 days from when the bonus is issued.
- Maximum stake: R1,000 per bet while wagering sports bonus funds.
- Not available on crypto deposits; cannot be combined with other promotions.
- Void, cashed-out, starting price and free-bet bets do not count, and only the first bet on the same selection counts.
- Game contributions: slots, Lucky Numbers and scratchcards 100%; Sic Bo and poker 50%; other table, live dealer and crash games 10%; game shows and roulette 5%; Plinko 0%.
- Withdrawing before you finish forfeits the bonus and any bonus winnings. No maximum win is stated.
Separately, 10Bet’s general Promotional Terms describe a lighter sports bonus standard: 5x deposit plus bonus at odds of 1.60 within 30 days. Rely on the stricter offer page (8x at 2.00) when you plan, and confirm the rules with support before you deposit. Depositing at least R50 meets both minimums.
What 8x means in rands: deposit R1,000 and you get R1,000, so you need R16,000 in qualifying bets at 2.00 or more within 30 days. With the R1,000 maximum stake, that is at least 16 bets. Take the full R5,000 match and the figure is R80,000. Bettabets asks for R9,000 on the same R1,000 deposit, and YesPlay’s 7x deposit plus bonus at 3.10 (capped at R3,000) needs R14,000, at higher odds. Our guide to wagering requirements explains how rollover is counted, and you can compare current deals on our betting bonuses page.
Loyalty Club
The Loyalty Club runs to 10 tiers and 50 levels, from Amateur through Playmaker, Local Star, Pro, Premier Pro, Mzansi Legend, Champions Hero, Bafana Icon and World Class to Legendary 10. Sports bets at odds of 1.20 or more earn 1 XP per R100 wagered; slots earn 5 XP per R1,000 and roulette or blackjack 2 XP per R1,000. Levelling up pays coin bonuses, Mystery Boxes start at Local Star, and coins can be spent in a marketplace. Coins may expire if your account is inactive.
Ongoing promotions
- Soccer Cashback: 10% back on net soccer losses each week; the FAQ gives the cap as R1,000.
- Rugby Bonus: 25% back on rugby, up to R500 as a weekly free bet.
- Cricket Bonus: 30% up to R1,000.
- Horse Racing Bonus: 15% up to R1,000 on deposits of R100 or more, plus a Mystery Box worth up to R1,000 for racing bets of R100 or more.
- Sunday Madness: 10% cashback up to R400 on sports and games.
- Daily Quiz: a free-to-play quiz with R200,000 on offer.
- Kick’A’Million and the Ellis Park Tournament: stadium-linked promotions, the tournament with a share of R1,000,000.
- Games offers: 10% Games Cashback up to R1,000, R20 million Prize Drops, an EGT R3,000,000 tournament and Aviator Tuesday Rain.
Some offers carry a “Tailored for you” label, so what you see may differ from another account.
10Bet deposits and withdrawals
Banking is one of 10Bet’s best areas. Deposits start at R10 for cards, EFT and Capitec Pay and at R5 for some vouchers, every fiat withdrawal is free, and bank eWallet and voucher payouts are listed as instant. The 10Bet minimum deposit is low, but remember the welcome bonus needs R50.

| Standard Bank Instant Money | R300 to R3,000 | Instant |

| OTT VAS payouts (airtime, data, electricity) | R50 to R4,000 | Instant |
| Crypto (BTC, ETH, LTC, USDT) | Varies by coin | Not stated |
One help page still says the minimum is R50 for most methods and R300 for Ozow. The payment methods page is more detailed and gives R100 for Ozow, so rely on the table above. The contact page FAQ adds that withdrawals are usually processed instantly or within 24 hours, excluding Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays, and that your bank may take up to 24 hours on an EFT.
Which withdrawal method should you use?
- Small wins, cash in hand: FNB eWallet, Nedbank iMali or Standard Bank Instant Money pay instantly from R300 and can be cashed at an ATM.
- Under R300: 1Voucher or OTT VAS payouts start at R50; the 1Voucher PIN appears under “Transactions”.
- Larger amounts: walletdoc EFT goes up to R1,000,000 (more on EFT betting sites) and its real-time clearing runs 24/7. Ozow EFT tops out at R500,000; see our guide to Ozow betting sites.
- TymeBank customers: withdraw through walletdoc.
How to withdraw from 10Bet, step by step
- Make sure your FICA documents are approved under “Account Verification”.
- Check that each deposit has been wagered at least once and that you are not mid-way through a bonus you want to keep.
- Open the cashier and choose Withdraw.
- Pick a method and enter an amount above its minimum; funds come only from your Main Cash Account.
- Confirm, then check “Transactions” for the status or voucher PIN.
Fees to know about
- All fiat deposits and withdrawals are listed as free.
- Crypto deposits are “subject to fee”.
- Dormant accounts: after 3 months without a login, a balance of R100 or more gets an email notice and then a monthly R100 admin fee; a balance under R100 may be deducted at once. The fee stops when you bet, withdraw everything or the balance reaches zero.
The dormant fee is the one to watch if you only bet during the PSL season or the Rugby Championship. Withdraw your balance before a long break. Our payment methods hub compares these options across other bookmakers.
10Bet Lucky Numbers, Betgames and casino
10Bet Lucky Numbers has its own menu item and offers fixed-odds number draws through an Advbet numbers product. Betgames sits in the live games lobby with Lucky 7, Dice Duel, Wheel of Fortune and Bet On Baccarat; Betgames supplied 14 titles to 10Bet from August 2024.
The casino side is large: 10Bet advertises more than 1,000 games from Pragmatic Play, Hacksaw, EGT Digital, Spinomenal, Yggdrasil, Red Tiger, Nolimit City, Blueprint and NetEnt, with live dealer tables from Evolution and BetGames and crash games including Aviator, Aviatrix and Skyward Deluxe. This review focuses on sports betting, so we do not cover the casino in depth. Note the 40x rollover if you play casino with welcome bonus funds.

10Bet app and mobile site
The 10Bet app is available for iPhone and iPad from the App Store and for Huawei phones through AppGallery. Android is the awkward one: 10Bet states that its app is not on the Google Play Store, so Android users download an APK file from 10Bet’s app page and must allow installs from unknown sources. Only download it from 10bet.co.za, never from a third-party site using the 10Bet name.
If you would rather not install an APK, the mobile site does the job. 10Bet says you can simply log in through your phone browser with the same account. GBets has the same gap on Google Play, so 10Bet is not alone here, but it is a point to weigh if a Play Store install matters to you.
Whichever route you choose, you log in with the same 10Bet account, so there is no separate sign-up for mobile.
Usability and the app are 10% of the overall score. How we rate bookmakers
10Bet customer care number and support
Support is a genuine strength. 10Bet runs live chat 24/7, described as AI-powered with human backup and an average response time of 2 minutes. Several rivals keep shorter hours: Sportingbet’s chat runs 07:00 to 22:00 and PantherBet’s 07:00 to 01:00.
- Phone: the 10Bet customer care number is 087 250 0533, labelled “0800 10 BET SA” and stated as free from any South African network.
- Email: support@10bet.co.za, with replies promised within 2 hours during business hours.
- Live chat: 24/7 on the site.
The live betting FAQ shows a different number, +27 10 746 1093; use the 087 number from the contact page. There is no WhatsApp channel. Because the chat bot cannot handle self-exclusion, and complaints must be in writing, email is the channel to use for anything you may need to prove later. HelloPeter reviewers often praise named VIP and account managers, and the Service sub-score there is 4.6/5.
Responsible gambling at 10Bet
10Bet’s tools are standard for the market and easy to find on its responsible gambling page.
- Deposit limits: daily, weekly or monthly. You can set them yourself for card, Ozow, Capitec Pay, walletdoc, Masterpass, Apple Pay and Zapper deposits, or through support. Limits do not cover vouchers, direct EFT, ATM or crypto deposits.
- Time-out: 1 day, 7 days, 1 month or 3 months. You can still log in and withdraw, but not deposit or bet.
- Self-exclusion: 6 months, 12 months or permanent, with the account fully locked. Contact support by email or phone, not the chat bot.
- Account closure: open-ended, reopened only on request.
Gambling is for over-18s only. If betting stops being fun, the South African Responsible Gambling Foundation runs a toll-free helpline on 0800 006 008, or send “Help” on WhatsApp to 076 675 0710. More information is at responsiblegambling.org.za.

10Bet reputation and complaints
10Bet’s public record is far better than most of the market. Its HelloPeter profile is a Verified Business with a TrustIndex of 8.9/10 and an average of 4.2/5, from 169 reviews in the last 12 months and 419 in total. It has replied to 100% of negative reviews, with an average reply time of 4 hours 51 minutes (11 hours 55 minutes for negative reviews). Compare that with Betway at 1.9 stars or Bettabets at 1.6 stars with no replies.
The sub-scores tell a more balanced story: Service 4.6/5, Payouts and Billing 3.3/5 and Platform Experience 2.8/5. Positive reviews praise named VIP managers, hospitality at rugby and cricket events and fast withdrawals. Complaints centre on slot outcomes, missing deposits and stalled withdrawals, platform glitches, and problems with crypto and voucher funds.
Trustpilot is less flattering at 3.9/5 from 65 reviews, with 58% at 5 stars and 31% at 1 star, and the profile notes that 10Bet has not replied to negative reviews there. Negative themes include pages loading slowly, bonus terms, verification difficulty and unresponsive support.
The news coverage is about sponsorship and products: the Bafana Bafana and Golden Arrows deals in 2023, the Betgames launch in August 2024 and the 10bet Ellis Park naming rights in July 2026. There are no reported regulator sanctions, fines or data breaches involving the South African licensee.
Tips for betting at 10Bet
- Deposit at least R50 for the bonus. The promotions page and the terms page give different minimums; R50 satisfies both.
- Plan the rollover before you claim. Work out 8x your deposit plus bonus at odds of 2.00 or more, and skip the bonus if you cannot place that much in 30 days.
- Do not cash out bonus bets. Cashed-out bets do not count towards rollover.
- Size big multis against the R500,000 daily cap. If a slip could return more, ask support how the cap applies first.
- Use bank eWallets for quick small payouts. FNB eWallet, Nedbank iMali and Instant Money are listed as instant from R300.
- Log in at least every three months. Or withdraw your balance first, so the R100 monthly dormant fee never kicks in.
